Easy Homemade Marzipan Chocolate Bars Recipe

Ingredients

For the Marzipan:

• 2 cups (200g) almond flour

• 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar

• 1–2 tbsp water or rose water

• 1 tsp almond extract (optional)

For the Chocolate Coating:

• 200g (7 oz) dark or milk chocolate

• 1 tsp coconut oil (optional)

Optional Toppings:

• Crushed nuts, dried fruit, or sprinkles

Instructions

1. Prepare the Marzipan

• Combine almond flour and powdered sugar in a bowl.

• Gradually add water (or rose water) until the mixture forms a smooth dough. Add almond extract for extra flavor.

• Shape the marzipan into a rectangular block, wrap it in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

2. Shape the Bars

• Once chilled, cut the marzipan block into small, rectangular bars.

3. Melt the Chocolate

• Melt chocolate in a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals. Stir until smooth.

• Add 1 tsp of coconut oil for a glossy finish (optional).

4. Coat the Bars

• Dip each marzipan bar into the melted chocolate using a fork. Ensure they’re evenly coated.

• Place coated bars on parchment paper.

5. Decorate and Set

• Sprinkle with toppings before the chocolate sets.

• Let the bars harden at room temperature or in the fridge.

6. Serve and Enjoy!

• Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
